Lyndon, Chad and Clayton experience the trials and tribulations of traveling in Bali, Indonesia on a budget of just $30 a day.
From Indonesia to the Jungles of Borneo, the chefs experience Christmas far away from home. Taking tours through the jungle, staying in hospitable longhouses and having good family fun with the locals more than make this trip worthwhile.
The chefs get a taste of just how exotic the Filipino cuisine is. Despite how good it tastes, the list of ingredients just might make you squeamish! To learn more about Filipino religion, our intrepid explorers head out to Manila to check out the Festival of the Black Nazarene and even decide to get in on the action!
The chefs travel further into the Philippines, meeting a friendly local who shows them how to make Pinikpikan and experience a traditional cockfight.
The Chefs arrive hungry and ready to cook in Malaysia. From one city to another they move through markets and food stalls sampling and learning how to make new dishes with the locals. On stumbling upon a family smashing coconuts, they even take part in the Hindu tradition. From there, they learn more about the Hindu Festival of Thaipusam. Not recommended for thefaint at heart.
Arriving in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Chad learns to make a tasty deep fried dessert, Lyndon and the boys taste a Durian, the smelliest fruit of them all, and to top it all off, Clayton must try a beef torpedo. From Kuala Lumpur to the beautiful beaches of Langkawi and Ko Lipe, the chefs meet some new Swiss friends for the duration of their stay
Leaving the picturesque beaches behind, the chefs travel to Bangkok. The famous land and floating markets make up the great diversity of the city's cuisine. Clayton meets up with an old friend and the guys stumble upon a street party. A great time is had by all as they eat and drink with a group of local families.
